As an expedition mentor and marine scientist with USF's Peerside, Dr. Clare guided students in observing ocean life and translating those observations through animal movement, sensory field notes, poetry, reflection, and creative interpretation. This work brings scientific inquiry and creative practice together to deepen how we experience and communicate the ocean.

Dr. Clare completed a three-year Washington Research Foundation Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Washington's School of Aquatic and Fishery Sciences, advancing interdisciplinary research in ecophysiology, social-ecological science, and environmental stewardship. She shared highlights and outcomes from this work at the WRF Fellows Final Symposium.
